Class is officially in session! This week, The Pokémon Snapshot explores the bizarre pedagogy of the Pokémon Technical Institute. Join Jeff and Tyler as they dissect Joe’s failed computer simulations, Pikachu’s intense battle with a Cubone, and Team Rocket’s traumatic academic history. Warning: contains highly passionate rants about the structural integrity of pancakes.

Ash gets humbled, Team Rocket rolls around in a giant rubber ball, and A.J. might be the most toxic trainer in Kanto history. In our breakdown of Episode 8, "The Path to the Pokémon League," we discuss the weirdest training montage in anime history, the ethics of bullwhips in Pokémon training, and a mid-episode voice actor switch for James that you have to hear to believe.
